Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, Tennis & Leisure Centre – Fire Door Installation and Remedial Works
ClearView has recently completed the remedial and fire door installation works at Southend Tennis & Leisure Centre. ClearView has provided passive fire protection and fire door services to Southend-on-Sea Borough Council at over 17 sites. We were appointed to this job due to our accreditation through International Fire Consultants (IFC), which provides all works completed with a guarantee of quality and compliance and our ongoing relationship with the client.
Requirements:
Southend Tennis & Leisure Centre required the completion of fire door installation, remedial fire door works, and the removal of any non-compliant doors. Customer relationship management (CRM) was vital throughout this project, with regularly communicating to work around the clients’ needs. Our engineers required a schedule to work to operate within the leisure centre. This ensured that the client’s disruption was kept to a minimum, achieved through a dedicated project manager assigned to the job.
Solution:
The project manager created a great repour with all stakeholders, including our timber fire door supplier, Humphrey & Stretton. New relationships were also created with suppliers Doorsuite, the designers and suppliers of the specialist poolside fire rated door set, which is yet to be installed. Both fire door suppliers ensure all doors are manufactured according to BS 476 Part 22.

Certified by the IFC, the fire door works were carried out to our industry-leading standards, ensuring compliance with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
