This year, ClearView celebrates its twentieth anniversary. In 2016 the Company pledges to work harder than ever to provide clients with bespoke fire & security solutions and services.
Paul Main, Managing Director, says, “From our humble beginnings in 1996, we are proud to be supporting thousands of security systems around the UK through a committed workforce of nearly 70 staff”.
How did the ClearView story begin?
From a garden shed to a 2,000m² premises! 
At the beginning, both Chris and Paul focused on solely manufacturing, installing and servicing specialist systems for the Police in helping them to decode their CCTV footage.
At this point all manufacturing was carried out by Chris from a garden shed with Paul spending his time on the road – pitching ClearView’s products to police constabularies.
1996 – The year of the garden shed upgrade!
In 1996 the shed was upgraded to a commercial premises in Writtle Road, Chelmsford whereby ClearView began to expand their products and increase their customer base. ClearView were becoming a recognised security name with their specialist security products providing the police a much needed solution to their CCTV decoding issues.
2001 – The year of the ClearView premises makeover
In 2001, ClearView purchased their new premises – a short trek up the road to a 2,000m² premises located on the Widford Industrial Estate, Chelmsford and originally occupied by the mechanical engineering company, Horner & Wells.
Turning the premises from a mechanical engineering workshop into a two story bustling office took a lot of dedication, elbow grease (and quite a lot of money!).

2002 – The Grand Opening!
In 2002, ClearView & it’s staff moved a short .5 of a mile to their current premises. To celebrate the grand opening, Chelmsford Member of Parliament, Simon Burns, attended and spoke a few words about the business and the grand opening ribbon was cut
Present day
ClearView have now been in the new premises for 14 years. As well as continuing their mission to provide the police with bespoke equipment to make their jobs easier, ClearView continue to also provide complete fire & security solutions to a number of different market sectors, including, commercial premises, local authorities, schools & of course, the police.
